Captain Zedek D.F. Mascadolce, Rogue Trader Captain of the Debt Collector and the author of the self-help book Zedequette. He is the Most Interesting Man.

Biography

The captain and owner of the Rogue Trader ship the Debt Collector, Captain Zedek D.F. Mascadolce is familiar with sticky situations. His leadership style relies on delegating most of his responsibilities to the ship's crew, and dodging the few that remain. Despite this, he has a genuine love for the ship and crew, and a desire to see his family returned to its glory. And while he has had trouble in the past shifting copies of his book, Zedequette, an improbable number of fans have been encountered on their travels. As a member of the delegation, he is called upon when flattery, money, or both is needed, or Reeb wants nothing to do with it. He spends time keeping eyes on Π-Braine and Lorn, but he's been known to have wild ideas himself.

The Mascadolce Dynasty

Zedek is the current head of the Mascadolce Rogue Trader operation, holding the Warrant of Trade. The Mascadolce buisness has fallen on hard times, with only one ship, the Debt Collector. The Mascadolces' ancient rivals, the LeCoqs, have operated in the Fimbria System.

No other family members are known to be alive, however Zedek has referred to two family members in the past. One of which is his father, referred to by this wiki as Captain Mascadolce Senior. Mascadolce Sr. and Zedek were never on good terms, and his pseudoappearences have him describe Zedek as "the runt of the litter" and have Zedek describe him as a "monster". Zedek also has had at least one brother, Alphonse Mascadolce, who died in an unnamed incident involving worms.
